In A Pit Without Jesus

Updated: Apr 15, 2020

In a pit? Jesus can reach you! Have you ever found yourself so low, that it almost seemed impossible to get out? You’ve tried everything, but nothing seems to be able to rescue you out of what seems to be a hopeless pit. When thinking of a pit most people would describe it as low, dark, lonely, secluded, and even may describe it as a trap. No matter what pit you may find yourself trapped in, whether it’s a pit of addiction, depression, unbelief, hopelessness, or hurt. Know that you don’t have to stay there, there is a way out!

David said in Psalms 40:1-2 “I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.” When David found himself in an horrible pit, he cried out to the Lord and waited patiently for him! Because he didn’t keep his mouth shut but cried out, not only did the Lord bring him out of his pit, he set his feet upon a rock and established his goings! Don’t be afraid to cry out, the enemy knows that this is the key to your deliverance! The Lord won’t only hear you when you cry out, he will deliver! Psalms 34:4 “I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

So many times we feel so unworthy when approaching God. But no matter how low you may find yourself, you’re never too low to where the Lord can’t reach you. His arm isn’t too short that it cannot save you, if he has to reach way down Jesus will pick you up! Even when you feel like your drowning in your situation, his ear is heavy to where he cannot hear you! Isaiah 59:1 “Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:” Try Jesus! He’s able to reach you, even at your lowest point!
