Have you ever been super excited about an opportunity or great idea God had given you? Or, full of elation and hope as you embarked on a new journey in your life? If you are like me, you were probably so overjoyed that you called one of your close friends or family members to share your excitement. Smiling from ear to ear, you anxiously awaited for them to pick up the phone or return the text.
You just knew that they would share your same excitement and would leap for joy after hearing the news!
But... Unfortunately, they did not share your excitement. You were met with silence, scrunched eyebrows, lots and LOTS of questions and doubt, or...even laughter. Negativity and skepticism can bring a dark cloud on even the brightest of possibilities. I’ve found that not everyone is able to fully comprehend or appreciate your precious dreams, aspirations, ideas, and opportunities.
My advice: Guard your heart while you grind toward your goals. It’s between you and God.￼￼￼￼￼ And, some folks, although they may love and care for you just aren’t going to understand. It is important to be fully confident even if it means being confident alone.
Trust that the same God who gave you the vision, is the same God who will walk with you through it.
God doesn’t turn in incomplete work so don’t let blind people proofread or attempt to edit your story. The Author knows the ending, and it’s a good one!
