Telehealth Therapy Tip
I would like to share some of my observations from my telehealth therapy sessions and tips.
Times like this bring out the best and worst in families. Take heed to yourself if you notice you're on edge, find a quiet safe space to pray, listen to music, read your bible, journal etc.. (Sit in car for a change of scenery)
Creating and keeping a schedule helps with self-regulation and keeps you mindful to the here and now vs numbing or zoning out. Countless hours of TV and or video games stunt your grip on reality.
Feel your feelings and be honest with yourself. Don't pretend to be okay if your not! Ask for help, we all need help from time to time!!
EXERCISE, EXERCISE, EXERCISE this regulates your mood and decreases depression.
Limit your exposure to the pandemic updates. If you start feeling overwhelmed by the news, it's time to detox, step back and realize God is still in control!!
